From Sinner to Saint Instantly

Apr 01

by Victoria Robinson

There are two ways one can go from sinner to saint instantly. The first way can be demonstrated at funerals everywhere. It is amazing how when a person of ill repute dies, they are instantly spoken of as if they lived the most saintly life possible. I suppose this comes from the fear of speaking evil of the dead. An interesting example of this is found in the eulogy David gave King Saul. He said, “Saul and Jonathan— in life they were loved and gracious …” It is easy to understand why he spoke these beautiful words concerning his dear loyal friend Jonathan who was like a brother to him. However, including Saul in this sentiment baffles the mind. Remember, it was Saul who became David’s enemy and tried to kill him more than once. David’s motive does not appear to be fear, but rather he had always shown respect for Saul out of reverence to the Lord. He was obeying a command given in the book of Exodus which states, “Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.”

The second way to obtain instant sainthood is much easier and a lot less painful. That is to allow the shed blood of Jesus to wash away your sins. Our Lord actually chooses to have selective memory concerning our sins. He has told us, “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.” A common misconception is what a saint really is. A saint is one who has a covenant relationship with God through Jesus Christ. There is death involved in becoming a saint, not mortal death, but spiritual death.

Dearest girlfriends, I pray if you are not a saint, you will invite Jesus Christ to wash away your sins today. Click here to learn more.  Heaven

Saul and Jonathan— in life they were loved and gracious … ~ 2 Samuel 1:23 NIV

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. ~ Isaiah 43:25 NKJV

Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people. ~ Exodus 22:28 NIV

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God ~ Hebrews 9:14 NIV

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. ~ Ephesians 2:1-5 NIV

To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Romans 1:7 NIV

Are You a Big Person?

Mar 06

by Victoria Robinson

There is a story of a person of small stature who became a big person after an encounter with our Lord and Savior. This amazing change started with a sycamore-fig tree. Our little friend Zacchaeus climbed up in the tree so that he might get a glimpse of Jesus. Much to his surprise, Jesus looked right up at him and invited himself over to his house. Zacchaeus excitedly welcomed him to his house and did something that would transform him from a little person to a big person. He repented of his sins! Zacchaeus said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” His repentance led to salvation. Jesus told him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” Notice that Zacchaeus not only repented with his words, but also his deeds. The apostle Luke told us we should prove our repentance with our deeds when he said, “… I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.”

When you think about a big person I bet you think about someone in your life you admire greatly spiritually speaking. Height of stature has nothing to do with having spiritual stature. The Lord told Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Girlfriends, whether you are saved or lost, showing the Lord you have a repentant heart is a sure way to become a big person. If you need salvation to come to your house today click on this Heaven link. If you are already saved it is still important to have a repentant heart. Dearest girlfriends, let us become a big person right now by repenting of any sins in our life.

Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a ‘sinner.’” But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” ~ Luke 19:1-10 NIV
… I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. ~ Acts 26:19 NIV
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” ~ 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV
… Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips. ~ Hosea 14:1-2 NIV
The high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in that high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I refresh the humble and give new courage to those with repentant hearts. ~ Isaiah 57:15 NLT

A Heavenly Affair

Dec 25

by Victoria Robinson

There once was a man who was a member of a royal wedding party. What an honor it must have been to have a heavenly connection to this royal event, to be chosen to be part of the wedding party as Jesus Christ prepares for His bride. This honor was given to Jesus’ cousin, John. You probably know him as John the Baptist. This man was sent by God to prepare the way for Jesus.

Good news girlfriends! It is not to late to get an invitation to the wedding. And hold on to your party dresses for this … you have been asked to be the bride. Your prospective groom is knocking at your door with a proposal and waiting for your answer. If you answer yes, He is going to come in and dine with you. What a glorious affair that will be. If you have not entered into this relationship, this is your opportunity. The Word of god tells us, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

If you have already said yes to this glorious marriage proposal, you need to busy yourself making preparations for the wedding. Oh girlfriends! So much to do! You will be wearing a wedding dress made of pure and shining linen. This linen stands for the good things you have done. So get busy preparing yourself  by living a godly life. Understand, living right is not what gets you into heaven. Heaven is a free gift given to you by your bridegroom, Jesus. Though God did tell us to live a life worthy of the calling of Jesus Christ.

Dearest girlfriends, I pray if you have never become the bride of Christ, today you would invite Him into your heart. Click this link: Heaven. If, like myself you are already the bride of Christ, I pray we would spend our days preparing for the heavenly wedding!

To this John replied, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ but am sent ahead of him.’ The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. ~ John 2:27-29 NIV

It is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way”— “a voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’” And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. … And this was his message: “After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” ~ Mark 1:2-5,7-8 NIV

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. ~ Revelation 3:20 NIV

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ~ Romans 10:9-10 NIV

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels. ~ Isaiah 61:10 NLT

I celebrate and shout because of my Lord God. His saving power and justice are the very clothes I wear. They are more beautiful than the jewelry worn by a bride or a groom. ~ Isaiah 61:10 CEV
… “Praise the Lord! Our Lord God All-Powerful now rules as king. So we will be glad and happy and give him praise. The wedding day of the Lamb is here, and his bride is ready. She will be given a wedding dress made of pure and shining linen. This linen stands for the good things God’s people have done.”Then the angel told me, “Put this in writing. God will bless everyone who is invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” The angel also said, “These things that God has said are true.” ~ Revelation 19:6-9 CEV

… I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. ~ Ephesians 4:1-3 NIV

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. ~ Revelation 22:17 NIV
